Chessda

Terms of Use

Last updated June 2026

Chessda is a free, independent hobby project, provided as-is. By using it, you agree to the following.

The service

Chessda is a free, client-sidechess analysis tool. There is no account and no payment. It's offered for personal, non-commercial use, and may change or go offline at any time.

No warranty

The tool is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Engine evaluations, classifications, accuracy scores, and estimated ratings are computed heuristics and may be wrong — they're for study and entertainment, not authoritative judgements. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss arising from use of the tool.

Acceptable use

  • Don't use the tool to break the law or to abuse the third-party services it talks to.
  • Don't hammer the Chess.com / Lichess public APIs through it; respect their rate limits and terms.
  • Don't use it to cheat in live games — it's for reviewing finished games.

Third-party services

Importing by username fetches data directly from Chess.com and Lichess via their public APIs. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies. Chessda is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Chess.com or Lichess.

Intellectual property

Stockfish (GPL), chess.js, lichess's formulas/opening data, and the sound set belong to their respective authors and are used under their licenses. “Chess.com” and “Lichess” are trademarks of their owners.

Changes

These terms may be updated; continued use means you accept the changes. See Privacy and About for more.
